so im about to face dhoulmagus. i dont just want to beat him, i want to destroy him, so naturally, im leveling up my party. Hero is lvl 31, Yangus is 30, Angelo is 29, Jessica is 29. im looking for metal slimes, and after hearing about the dragon graveyard, i got curious. so where is it? keep in mind that i dont have the godbird soulstone, so if its fly-to-only, i guess i cant go there. and if it is, where are some good locations for liquid metal slimes? im training on the unnamed isle right now....

I'm not sure if you can get there yet. It's south of Baccarat, and the first time you go there it's for a sidequest involving the heirs to the Baccarat casino. I'm not sure if you can do that yet, though. Go to the manor house in Baccarat and if you end up starting a quest with Cash and Carrie then you're heading to the Dragon Graveyard. If you can't do that, then just level up in Dhoulmagus's dungeon until Angelo gets to level 30 and learns Multiheal. With Multiheal, the Dhoulmagus fight is pretty easy.

It's probably for the better; the Dragon Graveyard is frickin' aggitating. Even when you're at an appropriate level, those enemies can annihilate you, and don't even get me started about the boss(es).
A little hint though, the Dhoulmagus battle is a bit easier if you have built a monster team already. Even better if you have two, but I just had the one and I got through it allright. It just really helps getting the clones taken care of. You could also save them until you think you may be just about to die and can't recover fast enough, just let them loose and hopefully they can cream him.

It's not absolutely necessary to have Angelo learn Multiheal before fighting Dhoulmagus, but it does make healing a lot less annoying. In my last playthrough, I really overleveled and I found that I didn't have to use Multiheal as much as I needed to previously.

As much as the Beelzebuzz leveling method is helpful, it's really rare to come across. I personally think Slime Hill is a lot less painful to go through since you can fight any metallic slimes there, not just Metal Kings.

You can fight Liquid Metal Slimes at Trodain, so you can always keep that in mind.

I've read the one on harvesting EXP in the Dragon Graveyard... I gotta admit I found Slime Hill far better. Encountering Metal King Slimes is rare in both places, but encountering a Metal King Slime and Beelzebuzzes together is mind-numbing. And even then chances are high it'll run away instead of attack, and even if it DOES attack you have to pray Executioner or that lightning spear tech will work instead of miss, or chances are it'll be gone next round. I found it tedious and unrewarding even in the long run... Slime Hill however offers large groups of Metal Slimes (not "so" great later on, but as they appear in groups of 8 sometimes you can net at least 5000+ EXP and if you're lucky some seeds) as really common encounters and large groups of Liquid Metal Slimes on a reasonable regular rate. Metal King Slimes are still rare, but not as rare. It may appear on its own, in a group of several Liquid Metals or in groups of two. Over-all you'll gain levels faster these in the short term... although I've heard in the long run with a lot of luck the Dragon Graveyard can equl out due to the larger EXP harvest... again... if you're "really" lucky that is.

On a side note, been Gold Golem harvesting? Doing that'll net you the most gold of any enemy in the game, so you can equip yourself up.

Once you have access to the Mystical Ship, you're pretty much set for gold. I know that people like to do things like use the Alchemy Pot or the Casino for gold, but it's really not that tough to run into Gold Golems. It's interesting to note that Gold Golems drop a lot more gold in the English version than the original Japanese version.

I only ever bothered fighting Metal King Slimes at the Dragon Graveyard since I was working on the sidequest there. The enemies you run into there are really tough, anyways, so it's pretty risky.
