I know about the turbo controller trick on Lete River but other than that, in your opinion, what is the best place to train in the WOB? (WOB is short for World of Balance for anyone who doesn't know)

Well, the last place you go is Thamasa, so the most powerful monsters are there.

What about the floating continent? You don't have to fight atma immediately.

If you're looking only to train for magic points, I always used the Phantom Forest. The enemies there are all really easy to beat, so there's really no danger, and the battles are fast since you kill everything in one hit. The encounter with a single ghost will net you 3 MP per battle, which really isn't terrible for the WOB. So you might get lucky and get the single encounter a bunch of times in a row and gather some good MP quickly.

If you're looking for gaining levels, then what has been said before (Floating Continent and Thamasa) are probably your best bets.

I find the best place is to vanish doom trick on the itangir island

But that is the snes version and not the gba version.

I used to farm itangir for maximizing all my spell before going to the floating island, maximizing all spells also helps after finishing the island as you will need all the magic you can get when fighting alone.

In WOR:

I just farm hoovers and cactarots for spell learning, especially for shadow who never learned spells or for gogo and to learn the new spells.

Intangir island is the triangular island to the far northeast of the map. Be careful, Intangirs are invisible and counter-attack and final-attack with Meteo.

Yeah I remember about them putting themselves to sleep and turning invisible, just wasn't too sure about the location. Thanks

Yeah, I guess the Floating Continent is the best for exp. As I remember it, I also use Phantom Forest. But I normally choose to lvl up in WoR.

It's fairly common for enemies on the Floating Continent to give out as much as 5 magic AP per battle, so it's great for learning magic before the WoR.

In the WoR, though, killing Slagworms and Cactuars in the desert outside Maranda is a great way to train: 5 and 10 magic AP per kill, respectively, 10,000 gil per kill for both, and a decent amount of experience from the Slagworms.

For MP, intangir is my favorite.

For leveling the place i always go in WOB is the cave by thamasa that opens up after you do the events there, if i needed to bulk up before the continent thats where i would go

True

But they are still very common

You can instantly kill itangir with doom and gain 0 experience

I like this because i don't necessarily need to level up.

With world of ruin trick and thamasa,i am forced to level up.

I used to use the brachiosaurous trick to level up.

You know:exp egg+esper for stats=gain +2 of whatever stat you wanted and i used ultima and possibly something else to kill em.

I eventually became so powerfull, that cyan could do 9999 dmg per hit and he was so fast that it was easy.

I also increased sabim's attack power and increased everybody's spellpower so everybody did 9999 dmg with spells

The Floating Contenient is awesome, not only do you have great exp and ap, but the enemies have some of the best relic steals in the game. Greatest part is that since Shadow can equip Thief Knives, you always have a stealer. 10 Genji Gloves anyone?
