Hey Gang,

When you pickup Locke in the final room of the Phoenix Cave, there is a flashing multi-colored star to the upper right.

Does anyone know what this is? More importantly, how do I get to it?

If you get too close to Locke, then the reuniting routine takes over and you're forced to go to Kohligen.

Thanks in advance for the help, and Happy Holidays!!

I'm told if you go through the cave again you can reach that, however all the star does is send you out of the dungeon.

ZH is correct, I was determined to find out what the **** that star was, so I ventured back into the Phoenix Cave after getting Locke. At the end (where Locke and the treasure were) there is a group of rocks on the lava you can hop across; these take you to the pink flashing star. Touch the star, and you're transported outside of the Phoenix Cave.

The_Pink_Nu1 is correct. I just beat that part today; I had to go through the cave a second time to beat Red Dragon. Come back a second time, you don't have to go all the way back. Square was (are they anymore?) smart.

Isn't there another star just like that in Kefka's tower?

I can recall something like it in the tower, but my memory cannot be trusted very much...

I believe that star was in a treasure chest, and was a switch allowing another of the three groups to pass by.
