I have a question about the few and far between empty treasure chests found around the world (excluding the ones in the Phenoix cave). Is there anything special that happens to the empty treasure chests in South Figaro (the clock room) and the armor shop in Albrook? I have heard rumors about the Albrook treasure chests and the "paladin ring" which I do not believe in. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!!

No clue about those other chests. But I can tell you that the Paladin Ring doesn't exist. Walk around with the Cursed Ring as long as you like, it does not become a Paladin Ring. =Þ

I know someone else on here would know better, but I've done the cursed ring trick before (a long time ago), but I dont remember what it becomes.

It doesn't become anything. Only the Cursed Shld can be uncursed.

I do know for a fact that the cursed ring remains the cursed ring. I have proven the 255 battle theory wrong! I still don't see a use for the empty chests though, and they are quite suspicious, especially the ones in Albrook since every other chest in the game has a purpose. Including the "empty" ones in the Pheonix Cave. thumbup.gif

I think (as well as in CT) that the shop keepers use them for their stores(goods), and then in South Figaro, they're just abandoned chests used for storing things.

When you open a chest in the Phoenix Cave, You don't get the item right away. However, when Locke joins up with you he gives you the items you would have found, such as the ValiantKnife, Wing Edge, etc. So open the chests anyways.

IIRC if you leave the chests in South Figaro alone in the WoB, they will get some pretty awsome items in the WoR. Other then that, I dunno.

Yes, there are quite a few chests that change if you leave them after the world ends, but I would say to get them right away, waiting doesn't really get you anything better. I would say that the best one is getting the hero rings from the cave leading from Figaro to South Figaro, but you can get those from the auction anyway.

Does anybody know about the switch in the chest in the sealed gate? That has always bothered me... and I am not getting anything from the topic, nobody knows!
