I'm in the WOR, and I'm trying to get Cyan back. According to the walkthrough on here, I'm suposed to ask the "It's dangerous here" guy in Zozo for some "Rust-Rid" so I can open the doors at the top of one of the buildings, and march into Mount Zozo... The problem is, the fellow who's suposed to sell me the "Rust-Rid" won't stop saying "It's dangerous here" no matter what I try. He refuses to say a thing about the "Rust-Rid!" I've already got Sabin, Edgar, Locke, Setzer, Mog, Terra and Gau back. Shadow's dead and the Relm scenerio isn't working either, (I already rescued her from the cave) I'd really apreciate your help. I'm totaly stuck.

Yes actualy I did. She told me about the letters she'd been receiving and her house was full of flowers. I have her letter even!

...well then, bug the bird outside her house. That should send the letter off to Cyan and open up the Rust-Rid guy.

That won't do any good. The trigger you need here is the door that's rusted shut. Before you've examined it and have acknowledged that it's rusted shut, the 'merchant' in Zozo won't offer you the Rust-Rid.

Are you sure? I'm 99% positive that in my last game I went to the man first. I know I didn't examine the door in the WoB because it was a speed game and I skipped that building entirely in the WoB. The only things I did was talk to Lola, give the letter to the pigeon and then talk to the pigeon at Zozo, so you see it fly to that door.

Pretty sure. I remember once I couldn't get this Rust-Rid from the guy either, and I thought examining the door might be a good idea. I did so, returned, and I got the needed item.
But on the other hand, I can only back this up with memories and not with actual facts.

Im fairly sure Djibriel is right.

I think (though not 100% sure) That you have to try the door first. Just like Dji I cant back this up by fact and I havn't played through in ages...

hehe on my game... on ff6 retranslation i didn't exsamine the door at all.. all i did was talk to lola talked to the bird and then i talked to the guy.. and he is selling the rust rid. so you have to talk to lola/give the bird the letter/go to zozo/ and then talk to the guy what's strange the bird was still at the entrence lol. but i suggest talking ot it still.

Bird? Oh crumbs... I think I didn't talk to the bird. Auug! Stupid things! Thanks for the tip. That's sorta funny, cause I was just thinking about the bird the other day, and I was wondering if the bird is suposed to represent a re-incarnation of anybody? It's probably not, but it seems odd that all of a sudden, this bird is everywhere.
