In battle, Frog is a good fighter, ranking in the middle of the pack in most statistical categories among the playable characters. Being of the Water element, Frog receives less damage from Water attacks. Frog does not gain Power as quickly as Crono, Ayla, or Robo, but his physical attacks are consistently effective the entire game. A capable attacker and healer, Frogs individual Techs comprise of a nearly equal mix of physical damage, Water damage, and healing abilities. His Dual and Triple Techs also have a wide variety of roles, including healing spells and attacks of all four elements. By the end of the game, Frog is most valuable in parties as a healer and as a character taking part in several excellent Dual Techs and Triple Techs.
Additional Information
Frog, originally, was not a frog at all. Obviously, I mean, how would a frog be able to talk otherwise? Anyway, Frog's true identity is as a man named Glenn. Glenn was a young boy in the Middle Ages, befriended by the swordsman Cyrus and trained in swordsmanship. During a quest, Cyrus and Glenn encounter Magus and Ozzie, who far outclass the two. After killing Cyrus, Magus transforms Glenn into a form befitting his cowardliness—a frog. Glenn vows revenge on Magus, creating his motivation to join Crono's quest.
